Our Approach
Expertise, layered with technology.
Complex claims aren’t resolved by software, and they aren’t resolved by instinct alone. We pair senior adjusters with a disciplined data spine, so every file moves with judgment and proof.
In plain language
What we are, and what that means for you.
Royal Claims is a Delegated Claims Administrator (DCA), the modern term for what the industry long called a third-party administrator (TPA). It’s one role: we hold delegated authority to handle claims to the standard the policy promises, for the Lloyd’s market and Canadian carriers alike.
Authority to determine claims
Coverholders, syndicates, carriers, and MGAs delegate claims authority to us under their binders and guidelines. We determine, document, and settle within agreed authority, with bordereaux-ready reporting and London-standard files.
The same discipline, every market
Whether the business is placed at Lloyd’s or with a Canadian carrier or self-insured (the work a TPA performs), the standard doesn’t change: full transparency into every reserve, note, and decision.
The sequence
Four steps. Every file.
Intake
Every detail captured once, cleanly: coverage, parties, exposure, urgency. Structured intake means nothing is re-asked, nothing is lost, and triage starts immediately.
Expert adjuster
The file is assigned to an adjuster who knows the line, not a queue. Decades of judgment applied from the first site visit to the final report.
Data & analysis
A technology spine runs beneath the file: live status, clean reserves, disciplined reporting cadence. Carriers and brokers see what we see, with no surprises at bordereau time.
Resolution
Fair, defensible outcomes: settled within authority, documented so thoroughly that audit, reinsurance, and the London market read the same clear story.
