About Anaelly
Anaelly Lopez is a Senior Claims Specialist at Royal Claims Services Ltd. She manages property and liability claims from investigation through coverage assessment, negotiation and resolution, directs independent adjusters and experts on file investigations, and brings a supervisor’s eye to reserving, reporting and regulatory compliance.
Anaelly joined Royal Claims in April 2023 after seventeen years with Wawanesa Mutual Insurance. She started there in administration and underwriting, adjusted claims by telephone, and in 2011 became a Claims Examiner handling personal lines, commercial and liability claims, including large and complex losses and bodily injury files, working closely with counsel on coverage and defence litigation. From 2016 to 2022 she supervised a team of eight to ten desk adjusters, coaching them on policy interpretation, reserving, investigation and service standards.
Anaelly holds the Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation, studied at Langara College, and is bilingual in English and Spanish. She is based in British Columbia.
